Komplete 3 --> Komplete 4 Upgrade Installation Issues

Hello Rich,
I have K3 already installed. I received K4 as the free upgrade, but have not installed yet due to various threads in many places speaking of problems with activation/registration issues while or after installing. I wrote NI about this explaining I already have K3 installed and asked for advice on installing K4. They simply said to go ahead and install K4. Nothing more! However, I haven't installed yet. Do you have any advice on what I should look for or what, if anything, I ought to do with K3 before installing K4 or what I should do while installing K4 with K3 already installed? I will greatly appreciate whatever you can offer. or whatever anyone else might offer as well. Thank you, Jose.

Just install it... I didn't have any problems. And if you do, you just run service center and it will help you.

Hmm old post. Oh well, FWIW, I installed K4 over K2. No problems. You'll still have access to the K3 synths after the update

i installed k4 over k2 without issue on xp. but then my pc daw died a couple of times, and my mac was way low on space. so i'm still waiting to reinstall, and am now wondering if i should just wait for K5. dang.

Jsepeta, if you don't need the extra stuff in K5, I'd stick with K4 for now. It'll serve you well for quite a while. All the best, merlinn.
