Tweak wrote:Right. 5.1 does not. That means you may have to bounce sections at a time to avoid overloads. Mute half the tracks and try a bounce. Then mute the others and do a second. Mix the two audio tracks.

You might want to do a "stem" mix by logically bouncing sections that make the mix easier.

say a 4 part stem mix

1. drums
2. lead vocal
3. back vocals
4. everything else +midi tracks

Then bounce the 4 tracks to stereo.

arrrr!!
Cool, well i'll give that a try, that probably sounds like it will work.
Then i belvie all i need to do is once i've bounced one section i can impot it in, do the same for th other half then bounce both parts, as a complete stereo file..
8) 8)
Cool, bit of stretch but worth it in the end!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Thanks alot, You Have no idea how much u've helped me out!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I recently got Logic Studio ( v.8 ) from work. I'll be testing it out here in the near future and provide my opinions once I have some time under my belt with this version. From what I've experienced already it is just as good as the last, but a LOT cheaper!

When I bought my mac mini it had logic express 7 on it. It was fairly simple to use, of course it was my first experience with any recording, so I guess I didn't know any better. I've upgraded to Logic 8 recently. ITs way more user friendly in my opion. Just about everything that you need is acessible from the arrange window. I hated switching between the mixer window and the arrage window in Logic 7, now its all right there in fron of you. I'm still new to recording, but I think that just about everyone could use this program without much effort. As far as editing, I haven't gotten to far in that direction yet. I guess that I'll find out when I get there.

What are the chances of Logic becoming available for PC again?

About the same as Texas getting snow next week. Apple owns the program.
