Hi everybody.

I used to rec/mix my track with Vegas 8.0 pro.
I know that software very well , And im cumfortable with it.

Except the fact that some big studio use
Protools
Logic
Cubase
nuendo

Is there any reason why should i stop using Vegas ?

Im using Waves mercury bundle
Im only reccing vocal and acoustic guitar.
I use to rec in 24/96khz.

You only need to change if the software doesn't meet your needs anymore and you need to expand. Myself, I always try to plan for far in the future as most equipment is expensive. Everything I buy I treat as a new member of the family - not a guest.

Besides, it's going to be a while before the industry starts selling music at better than what CD quality is now. 96khz is going to be around for a long time methinks. That means, as your software might be archaic to some, it's still doing the job better than what it needs to. Seriously, I have a hard time changing something I'm comfortable with.
Triton Studio 88, Triton Extreme 61, Mackie Onyx 400F, Cubase SX3, Korg Legacy Collection, Yamaha HS80 - Ah, hell... A myriad of other stuff!!!

You have an $8,000 *plugin* bundle and you need TIPS?!? Almost everyone I know who bought Mercury (and that's a very small number of people) are probably qualified to teach audio engineering professionally.

In slight reference to what Massive said...the only reason why should stop using Vegas 8 (or any plugins or software) is if it's an illegal copy. =)
