I can't vote yet. I'm a little perplexxed.

When was the A&H introduced?

It is USB 1.1 compliant. I never record more than 1 track at a time, so I'd be ok.

But why didn't they go ahead and make it full-fledged 2.0? Will this be a hindrance for some people??? (I guess you could just ignore using USB if you were working with others and do it the old-fashioned analog way ...)

I pretty much like them both.

For those who voted for the Zed, is there a noticeable difference in overall sound quality?

USB 2.0 provides sufficient bandwidth to capture multiple tracks simultaneously, so it may not be of much value to you. But I don't see it being a hindrance to anyone... except the extra money you end up paying for it when you don't need it.

Also, most desks with a USb port on them have two aims - for a starter home recordist who just needs one or two tracks max, or for capturing a live-off-the-desk stereo mix, in which case you don't need more than 2 tracks.
