Roland is often the front runner at Namm.

A very impressive offering!

I have an old Roland digital piano (HP1700) that i bought new like 16 years ago. It's still going strong and feels/sounds great! I like playing on it more than any other of my pianos. If they have improved over the years (i'm sure they have) then I might just check out a new one.

Looks great. Wonder if its an improvement over the vocal designer in the V-synth. Looks like a substantial improvement over the vp550

Definitely, this thing just looks way more sleek than the 550. Its nice to see the onboard phantom power too. I'm going to see if I can find one at a local guitar center, something like this would do wonders for my tiny church orchestra.

Hah, i just looked at the info on my HP1700 digital piano.. it was made in June of 1990! Tis a bit older than i remember...sigh.. time flies when you're making music. Still it's my favorite piano to play to date, the piano sounds are superb for how old it is.. the other sounds? not so much, but then again.. i only use it as a piano. I went to the local music shop the other day, and have to say outta all the digital pianos there i like the Rolands' still.. some of the Yamaha take a close second.
