nice review, tweak. In fact, I believe your review is just what I needed to convince myself to take the plunge.

One question: How well does guru slice up melodic samples such as vocals or other short phrases? I know the smart slice function is geared towards beat-slicing, but I would also like to chop up some bass lines and vocal lines.

Thanks!

Hey tweak, pretty much like above i'd like to know a little bit more about the slicer.

Can you manually adjust slices for chopping similar to working on an MPC, MV, or other drum machine?

If not, do you know of any soft sampler that works similar to a drum machine in that way?

I got the demo version of guru with my new keyboard and have been messing around with it for about 2 weeks, sold! just perfect for my set up, have to wait until after Christmas, but hopefully I'll have a good work flow established with it by then.

If you haven't down loaded the demo and are interested in guru I would highly recommend doing so.

As much as I like Guru, Ableton just released drum racks in version 7, which meets my needs perfectly.

 Well bought Guru anyway, just can't stop messing with the demo...
