BEST GUITAR EMULATION ?

Postby pantopit on Sat Oct 06, 2007 8:09 am

Hello - I have an old Roland G800 which is great for what I need it for ( I play in a rock indie covers band) but the Guitar sounds on it are quite poor.

I also play a ROLAND AXIS Keytar - and run it through the G800 and am thus reliant on the internal voices.

Does anyone know :

1) If I can improve th guitar sounds on the G800
2) If any other synths (preferably a small one as I haven't much room) offer a good quality rock / lead guitar sound ?

EXACTLY!
I played with the VG-99 at Guitar Center. Its good. The amount of control you have is crazy. The thing is...as a guitarist, its overkill for me.

You can always try SampleTank - they have a free version, and offer a Strat, bass guitar, piano and a couple of synths for free, too.

Hope this helps,
Tim
