Were you ever at a musical instrument store,
wanting to pick up a piece a gear, but you aren't 100% sure it's going to be the
right choice? You wait and pace around for agonizing minutes trying to get
the store's sales help to give you a shred of attention. They finally do, and you realize their answer doesn't make sense to you. Sweat drips as you pull out the credit card, about to make a major purchase and an inner voice shouts out "Dude, what are you doing?". The clerk stares at you with the look of "hurry up, dweeb!" You either run from the store screaming "Why is everything so *bleeping* HARD, or pray to the gods you made the right choice.
At some stores you might get lucky and find an experienced, knowledgable salesperson and might muse "if I could only listen to this guy all day I'd learn this stuff fast". Well here you can. You can read all of Tweak's conversations with others about gear going back years if you want. If necessary, he'll point you back to articles if you need to learn basic concepts. You'll also find a lot of other people hanging out, some professional, some newbs and many in between.
Tweakheadz Lab and Studio-Central are affiliated with zZounds to bring you the
ultimate online shopping experience for those interested in home studio
gear. And its not just shopping. It's learning about gear as
each forum is linked to tutorials, FAQs, reviews, How-Tos and everything
else at the Lab! Finally, if all this isn't enough, Tweak's forums are about making friends, contacts, sharing tips, songs, and ideas.
Tweak sez: I have actively participated on studio bulletin boards since the days of DOS and modems. I worked really
hard and put a LOT of thought into creating what I think is the perfect
online community for those who are have or are interested in recording with
MIDI and Audio gear. I searched for a month for the right web host and
message board package and I now have got it wired!
Participating in Tweak's Forums is like being
in the store with the Tweak as your trusted gear adviser. It's no bull, no
hype, and you get the benefit of reading everyone's questions, answers,
thoughts, musings, critiques.
The TweakHeadz Lab and Studio-Central Community
Discussion Forums were started in 1999 as a small question and answer board
hosted by Rich the Tweakmeister. Rich has answered thousands of questions
from newbies, intermediates and professionals alike.
You can Help Support the effort by using any of the links on TweakHeadz
Lab or Studio-central to
shop at zZounds.
Tweak does this not for the money but for the
gear. There's no pressure to buy. But if you do, you get a piece you
know you want at a great price and you support this operation.
